Sometime ago, I wrote a tutorial on how to install BloGTK editor on Ubuntu 10.04 and configure it for Joomla publishing.

Presently, I have Debian 6.0.6 Squeeze running:
root@debian:/home/tokunbo# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:    Debian
Description:    Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.6 (squeeze)
Release:    6.0.6
Codename:    squeeze
root@debian:/home/tokunbo#

The first part of the above Ubuntu-related tutorial involves adding a repository with command: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:jayreding/ppa; however in Debian, the utility is lacking, and so I had to do some google research.

Anant Shrivastava, in his tutorial: how to add PPA in Debian, describes how to download a script he wrote, install and use it - to add PPAs in Debian.

Note that his command is: add-apt-repository ppa:ppa-name....and not apt-add-repository ppa:ppa-name.

With the above done: let us install BloGTK and configure for Joomla with just a couple of steps:

a) add PPA to download and install BloGTK: add-apt-repository ppa:jayreding/ppa

b) apt-get update

c) apt-get install blogtk

BloGTK is now available under Applications >> Internet BloGTK 2.0

d) To configure BloGTK for Joomla, use the same settings as in this tutorial: How to Install BloGTK editor on Ubuntu 10-04 and configure it for Joomla

thats all folks, Happy Blogging!
